About the Festival
The Sunshine Coast Pride Festival is an LGBTIQ event organised by a dedicated Committee of volunteers and is about providing a safe and fun environment for LGBTIQ people, their family and friends, to come together and celebrate our diversity.
Commencing in 2007, the Festival was an initiative of the Queensland Aids Council (QuAC) to engage with the local LGBTIQ community.
Since our humble beginning, we have grown to become a weekend-long Festival, with a variety of events, activities and entertainment to cater for all ages and interests.
In 2018 we are re building the festival, We will have our Fair Day on the 28th of April at Quota Park Nambour from 10-2pm.
The Festival will Conclude with Pinkies That night held at The Waterfront Hotel, Bli Bli from 8pm
The Festival is run by the community and relies on community support and receives funding from community grants, sponsors, proceeds from events that are re-invested and donations from supporters.
You can make a donation through our website.
The Festival is auspiced by QuAC which maintains the integrity of the financial records for the Festival.
We would like to thank the Sunshine Coast Council for their continued financial support through their Community Grant Scheme.
